Offline update files available or is my xbox a paperweight for now?

I played about 5 minutes of Witcher and the save games not available message popped up again.

I went into settings to clear the local games. The Xbox crashed and came back up to the E105 error.

The option for offline updates is greyed out.

I’m doing another factory reset, but I’m thinking this Xbox is a paperweight at this point...

It booted up but locks up every time I try to load a game it locks up and eventually kicks me back to the home screen. This thing now has some serious issues that did not exist prior to the latest update! It appears to be a paperweight at this time.

Your best shot at restoring your system is

1 - try a factory restore but chose to keep your files.

2 - use offline update to reapply the update in case something went wrong.

For cases like this, the update is available via the file that is provided for the Offline System update which should fix the issue.

There was an insider on here yesterday whose console got E101 error going from insider OS 10.0.1734.4054 to 4056. Now that the 4056 is available to all he was able to fix it with the OSU1 file for the offline update at xbox support. as long as your firmware
is lower than the last official update you should be able to fix it.

To use the offline system update, you need:

A Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
