Offline savings overwritten by cloud

Hi. Want to tell about one stupid thing with the console. Sometimes i don’t use internet and play offline. I can pass many levels in different games. But when i connect to net again and start the games i’ve played offline the console overwrite all my recent
local savings by old cloud savings. It even doesn’t ask me if i want to overwrite the newer savings. It silently destroyed many hours of my progress. As i knew there is no solution. I only want to complain to such stupid saving system. I’m not xbox hater.
I love the console (xbox one s). I like big game discounts in the store. But when you lost days of passthrough in games you will be very upset.

That sucks, I've never had that issue. Usually it gives you the option to choose between the two and it doesn't override

Sorry to hear that, i have not had that problem before either . That seems strange becuse it should have asked you which save file you wanted to use and then synced the new one to the cloud

Then it seems that save is saved to the cloud for some reason. Were you playing offline for a while? This would cause the lapse in save data. Unfortunately, there is no way to recover the cloud save once it is overwritten.

So if i played a game offline and connect it back online, all my save files will be overwritten by the old cloud saves?

The console does not have an internal battery that keeps time.

It requires the internet to keep the correct time.

If the console gets disconnected from the power the time will reset to 5PM 25th May 2013.

Normally the time is automatically corrected when the console connects to Live but if you are offline the time will stay reset.

All offline saves will have this time which means that when you reconnect to the internet the saves on the console will appear to be over a year older than the ones in the cloud and will get overwritten.

When playing offline it is essential you make sure the system time and date is correct otherwise your saves will get overwritten by the cloud.
