Offline Play for Military Members on Deployment?

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you want to know your options to use your Xbox without internet connection. Making a console your home Xbox gives friends and family access to your games and content when you're not signed in. Your home Xbox also lets you play your digital games offline.

If you want to make a different console your home Xbox:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalisation, and then select My home Xbox.

Do either of the following to change the status of your console:

To make this your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox.

When you switch your home Xbox, your shared licences will no longer be available to others playing on your old home console. You'll need to be signed in online to your old Xbox console to allow them to play your games and apps (when you're not on your new home console). Your ability to play games while offline will also shift to your new home console. Redownloading or launching any games on the new home console will register the licence to that console allowing for offline use.

You can switch your home Xbox up to five times in any one-year period. If you reach your limit for the year, we'll show you the next available date you can change it.

To disconnect your console from the network for offline use only:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Settings > General > Network settings.

Select Go offline.

I'm sorry if my initial response where I provided the instructions on how you could play offline on your console did not meet your expected answer.

If you are referring to the 30 days where you need to be online, this periodic internet connection is required for subscription verification. I understand that you mentioned that you have zero chance of connecting to internet. One thing that I could think of is to connect your Xbox to your smartphone's mobile hotspot while using mobile data.

If you have questions about these processes, I would recommend that you contact Xbox support and see if there are exemptions for your situation. You may follow these steps:

Verify that you are within the support window listed under Contact hours.

Click "Contact Us."

Choose the item from the drop-down menu that best addresses your issue.

Choose the option to "Chat online" or "Request a call" on the following screen, then fill in the required information.

If you bring disc based games with you they will work, but I am not aware of any exemption for deployments

What's wrong with this company. I'm such a fanboy I'm ashamed. They said if you want to play offline get a Xbox 360, and that was a indirect comment regarding military members.
