  1. Offline Game Play Issues

I recently updated my Xbox One and encountered an issue.

There is no error code that appears, but whenever I try to play my games offline, it won't allow me to. This includes both installed games and games with discs. It says my gamer profile is not signed in, and when I try to sign in, it won't allow me
to. Because I can't sign in, it won't let me play my games or save anything.

I know before I could play offline, but now I can't. Is this what was intended or is this an update issue? Is anyone having this issue and can this be fixed?

    :)

You need to tell it you want to play "offline".....

    Using Xbox One offline

If you ever want to use your Xbox One without connecting to Xbox Live, you can set your console to offline. While offline, your console won't connect to any networks.

We recommend that you don't set your console to offline if you experience a network, ISP, or Xbox Live service outage. Although your console will show as being offline, it will automatically reconnect as soon as a connection is available. You can still use
several Xbox One features even if your console can't connect to the service.

You need to be online to experience everything Xbox One has to offer, but when you're offline, you can still:

•Watch TV, although you need to be online to get OneGuide listings.

•Sign in to your profile, but only if you've signed in online before. This includes the Kinect automatic sign-in mode, if you set that up while you were online.

•Change console settings, but not profile or family settings. Content controls will remain in place while offline.

•Play games, if you have a disc or you're on your home console (see About My home Xbox to learn more).

•Save game clips (as long as there's space).

    •Earn achievements.

Note There's limited space to store achievements offline, so you should go online every once in a while to sync them.

•Use most voice commands if you have a Kinect.

There are some capabilities that you need to be online to use, such as:

•Playing games and apps that require an Internet connection.

•Playing games that require online sign-in, even for a single player.

•Syncing and playing saved games on more than one console.

•Using social features like friends, messages, and parties.

•Browsing and buying content from the Xbox Store, Music & TV, and Groove.

    •Using Xbox SmartGlass.

    •Updating the console or apps.

Activities such as unlocking achievements and sharing content such as Game DVR and screenshots will queue until the next time the console connects to Xbox Live. Once they sync, they'll be visible in your achievements and on OneDrive.

    How to go offline

1.Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

    2.Select Settings.

    3.Select All Settings.

    4.Select Network.

5.Select Network settings, and then select Go offline.

Your network status will change to offline. To go back online, follow the previous steps, but in Network settings select Go online.

Xbox Freezes While Signing Into Xbox Live

I have the same issue and i cannot even play halo 4 offline as the performance is horrible. Maybe because it is trying to connect. Anybody else have issues playing games offline?

not able to play saved games on xbox one

Hey there mister quinby he's not having issues online. He's having issues playing games that's already saved on his hd offline. I am also having the same issue. Is it that gucamelee isn't a game you can play offline? If not that should probably be addressed.

Xbox One, Game won't start while online

Thanks but I tried all of this already. Nothing improves the issue, only playing offline. But playing offline limits the game significantly, and I won't do it. I payed for full game.

Sunset Overdrive Autosave Menu Loop with PC Game pass

    Hi Squiddman,

Thank you for the video that shows me the issue that is occurring with Sunset Overdrive on your PC. I am going to further investigate this problem and see if someone on my team can help me with this. In the meantime, let's try another suggestion and this just to see if there is an issue with the cloud save causing this problem. Please do the following in the order presented

Solution 1: Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode; this error could also be attributed to issues with the Microsoft store not recognizing your entitlement to the game. Would you please click on this link Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode | Xbox Support. Then scroll down and click on the drop-down arrow and look at the steps for How to enable offline play on your device

Solution 2: Once you have completed the first suggestion, disconnect from the internet and then try to play Sunset Overdrive offline and let me know if that solved the issue. I want to rule out cloud save issues.

    Thank you,
