Offline files installed but not showing in game

Just purchased Xbox series x, downloaded flight simulator 2020. I’m online with a modest 40Mbps connection so I installed offline files to play, but every time I try to start a flight it tells me I’m currently offline (even though I am online) and that i do not have the offline files installed. So far I’ve reinstalled these files and even re-downloaded and reinstalled them but it is still not working. Options on FS don’t allow me to select offline mode. I’ve rebooted my console a couple of times to see if this helps. Has anyone else had this issue? How did you resolve it?

Thanks for confirming. Let's try to put your console offline what will it do with your game.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Select Settings > General > Network settings.
Select Go offline.

Then check your game back.

If same issue, please go back online. Then clear your game's data locally. Check the steps below, it's on number 7. I would suggest to try all the steps from the top.

Yes that setting is on, and it is greyed out so I cannot adjust it.

Did you make sure to turn this setting on here?

Go to options (RB) > General options > Data > Online functionality. Please change to ON and click “Y” button to save. Then go to your user profile at the top right, select and under “status” it should now say ONLINE.

I was trying that but it keeps saying you are currently offline and do not have the optional offline mode files installed how do I even fix this since im on cloud gaming

When you go to your memory select the games and it should show you all the files for the games. The files should be labelled and the install files are different from your game progess. Delete the ones labelled Installed Game.
