    Official Xbox One Remote Netflix issues


    I've been using the Official XBone Remote with Netflix without issue until lately where the Play/Pause seem to have stopped functioning properly with Netflix. All other apps still work ok with the button but Netflix only seems to pause, and not resume playing.
    I can get around this by using the centre button between the arrows at the top but I'd like the remote to function as it was intended! I've reset my xbox, uninstalled the app, deleted data, signed in again etc and am at my wits end on how to solve a trivial
    but frustrating issue. Any solutions out there I haven't tried?

    Xbox One Official Remote Not Working

    I have been having issues with my Xbox One IR Remote since the new update. It seems to work with the dashboard however my apps (Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, etc...) all ignore the commands except for pause, play, fast forward, rewind, skip and the Xbox Home button.
    This is really getting to be annoying since it is affecting both my Harmony remote and the official Xbox One remote I purchased to troubleshoot the issue. Are there any solution out there to fix this problem?

    Xbox one media remote won't control TV

    Anyone know why the Xbox one media remote won't control my TV? It works for apps like Netflix but it won't control the volume. I set my TV up and the kinect was able to mute my TV during the setup process. Is the official Xbox one media remote supposed
    to control the volume of your TV?? Thanks for any suggestions.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Yes this is the official Xbox One Media Remote.

    It works fine with other apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Bluray player.

    I have not unistalled and reinstalled the Now TV app so will do this today and post the results.

    Can you use a universal remote on the Xbox one a because of the it blaster?

    Hey there joefro007.

    Currently the only universal remote for the Xbox One is the official Xbox One Universal Remote. Some universal remotes may hay have the ability to use the IR blaster, but you'll need to check their support pages for steps on connecting it.

    Well, it's not working with Netflix for me now either. You either have to use instant-on, or restart the console each time you'd like to use the official Xbox remote on your... Xbox. A bit frustrating, and hopefully it gets fixed. I mean, the whole purpose
    is to use it with media apps.

    Pause button not working on any remote in Netflix app

    I have a nyko media remote with a pause/play button for Xbox one. A few weeks ago the pause stopped working in Netflix but works fine in plex. I can pause with the Xbox controller with no issues. Currently we have to stop and then resume the video.

    You can configure a Logitech Harmony 650 remote (and likely any of the other Harmony remotes) to control the XBox One. I use mine at home to control mine for watching Netflix, Hulu, Blu-Ray disks, etc.
