Official 250 GB Hard Drive for 360 S only showing 14 GB

The 250 GB hard drive is a licensed product, but it only shows about 14 GB on the storage screen.

I looked online for about an hour and very few people had this issue, and none of them were properly answered. Does anyone know the cause?

Just to add onto SoulDogWarrior's post, it is against the Terms of Use to use an old Xbox 360 hard drive in an Xbox 360 S console by taking off the shell. You must use an official 250 Gb or 320 GB Xbox 360 S hard drive only! I suggest getting a new and official
hard drive before your account and/or console is ban.

Cant play my downloaded game

There is no official 120 gb hard drive for the Slims. You would need an official MS hard drive in order to play an original Xbox game. The only official hard drives for the Slims are 250 gb and 320 gb.

Did you just buy it? And if so did you buy it used/from a 3rd party?

That's usually how much space a 20gb hard drive would show. Which would either mean someone swapped the actual hard drive for a 20gb and put it in a 250gb casing, or they tried using an unofficial data transfer cable which would sometimes reformat them to
only see 20gb.

Siddo - you will have to purchase the official 250 gb hard drive required for your xbox. This is the only thing that will work for the new 360 S models. Getting an external drive will not solve your problems.
