    XBox turning off in the middle of games

    my xbox keeps turning off in the middle of whatever im doing. this only happens to me and never any of my siblings. it only seems to occur with my profile, and no one elses. help?

    Off in the middle of the game

    It could possibly be overheating. Make sure the vents on both the console and power supply are free from dust and debris. See if that helps.

    Could be an over heating issue or a power supply issue. Are you using some kind of power strip or have you connected directly to the wall outlet??

    Yes you can turn it off, it's in the settings, go to settings, preferences, and you'll see game dvr in the middle, tick on or off.

    Are you in the middle of installing a game? It will try and finish the installation while it's 'off', but it can't do that without the disc...
