Odd disk drive problem

i was having a problem like that but this was dvds.

the thinkg that helpped me was just laying it down flat and not upright and then it was back to normal.

i would give that a try before blowing money on things.

I also have this problem with dvds and certain blurays since i got the console but havent had the problem installing new games from disks until recently.

I have never ran my xboxs in any other position than horizontally but thanks.

First thing to do is try using a laser lens cleaning disc as a speck of dirt or dust on the lens will prevent it from reading discs.

Thats at least one suggestion i havent come across yet, but it reads most blurays, and any games i have already installed read perfectly fine as well.

Are you also experiencing difficulties with using other physical media, such as movies in DVD or Blu-ray format?

There is an article that covers
how to troubleshoot problems playing discs on your Xbox One that has some techniques you can use, depending on your scenario.

In addition to this, have you attempted to install those disc games
offline? If you are able to install them offline, you should be able to update them and then launch them once you are connected to the internet again.

I have had problems with some blu rays and pretty much all dvds as i recall since i first bought the console, dubbed it off as a disk format issue. But it wasn't until yesterday when i bought my son a new lego game that it wouldnt read any game disk not
already installed and i tried four different games. Three of which used to be installed on it and the brand new game. Only a few months ago i purchased Jedi The Fallen Order and didnt have the problem then. Ive spent hours going through troubleshooting articles
for this which hasnt gotten me anywhere except having to redownload all my addons for the games already on it. Also yes, i have tried it offline as well but it doesnt register the disk in the drive at all unless its a game already installed.
