    Oct 2020 Xbox App (Beta) For IOS No Notifications When Favorites Log On


    I just updated to the new October 2020 Xbox App (beta) for IOS. I no longer receive phone notifications when my Xbox favorites log in. I am also not able to send pictures in chat anymore, and the chat itself is very spotty only working some of the time.
    Is there any way to receive notifications when favorites sign on like there was on the old app? Or better yet is there a way to downgrade my app to the old one? If Xbox is going to launch a beta version of an app there should be an option to use the old
    one till all the bugs are worked out.

    I downloaded the TestFlight app on iPhone and it says I need to redeem a code or get an invite. Otherwise its just a blank screen.

    Hey,

    As this is the beta, I would follow the default guidelines for feedback of the beta app:

    1. Open the TestFlight app on your device.
    2. From the Apps list, tap the app.
    3. Tap Send Beta Feedback.
    4. In the share dialogue, tap Include Screenshot to choose a screenshot. If you don’t want to send an attachment, tap Don't Include Screenshot.
    5. Add your comments (up to 2,000 characters), and optionally enter your email address if you were invited with a public link.
    6. Tap Submit.

    Not getting notifications on Xbox app

    A couple weeks ago, I stopped getting notifications through the Xbox app (iOS) and my Series X when my favorited friends come online. I’ve verified that the settings for those notifications to be sent are on in both places and I’ve even tried removing and reinstalling the mobile app to no avail.

    Hi! While I don't know for sure, I'd assume that the Xbox app for iOS offers this feature (if it works the same as the android app) as long as you have added your sons account as a friend/favorite and enabled notifications when your friends/favorites go

    Having the same issue as well as not receiving notifications when favorite friends log in like in the old app.
