    Oblivion GOTYE Disc 2 DLC Install issues on Xbox Series X


    Hello all,

    Im trying to install the disc 2 dlc disc, but it doesnt seem to work. What ive tried so far:

    1) Installing from disc 2. This doesnt work and keeps stating "there is an error getting the content right now"

    2) Installing from disc 1. Inserting disc 2 and going to the microsoft store to download the DLCs. The DLCs are still locked for purchase

    3) Ive tried to locate the "install disc" in the recent apps, but Xbox Series X doesnt have this option available. The icon doesnt exist.

    Is there anything else that can be done?

    Which edition of Oblivion do you own specifically? Let's start by
    uninstalling Oblivion from your Xbox One console     and start fresh. Once everything has been uninstalled, insert Disc 2 inside your Xbox One console to install both the game and DLC (Oblivion should be able to install from Disc 2). Once Oblivion has started
    installing, navigate to the
    Oblivion's 'Ready to install' list     to find the DLC. Once the game and the DLC is installed, try launching the game from Disc 2.

    Hello WilliamRLBaker,

    Can you try to do this? We had today a similar issue with Oblivion DLCs :

    1. Insert the The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition Disc 2.
    2. If the game launches automatically, exit out to the Xbox dashboard and close it.
    3. Navigate to your recent apps and find the "Install Disc" option. It looks like a DVD icon.
    4. Select the Install Disc option and press [A] to begin downloading and installing the DLC. The console should download approximately 1.1GB of content.
    5. Upon completion, you should receive a notification stating that Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine add-ons are installed.

    Yeah. It's the same for Fallout 3: GOTY and Oblivion: GOTY. The 2nd disc is usually the best option, as the 1st disc doesn't load the DLC w/ the game.

    Unfortunately though, once you install the DLC it won't show as purchased in the Xbox store. The licenses for the DLC are on the disc itself.

    My first attemtp at trying to reinstall it, it would only go to download the dlc but not the base game. And when i tried putting in the base game to install it it showed the game was already installed but then when trying to play the game it told me it

    Its does seem to be working this time though being it is now downloading all three instesd of just the two dlcs
