    So I recently got into this live account because of Gears 5. Noticed that my names was randomly generated, so I decided to make my own. (Was gonna put Whisky the Ram but was inappropriate", but no worries) So I came up with Rammy. But once submitted, as
    you can see now, it shows as . I already got a heads up that it would do this, but i thought the number would show up as smaller or in a way Discord or other apps do it. But in this case...it you basically cant tell if its apart of your original gamertag
    or not. So what im assuming is that if you go into any game that uses your Xbox live gamertag, it would show it with a # and the extra numbers would be less visible. Thats what im asking today, how exactly will it show up on different apps/games? Just plain
    ? Or will it be edited in a way. Or does it depend on what game it is?

    Hey there Rammy,

    Thank you for reaching out to us on the forums, it does state in the
    Gamertag update FAQ     that the gamertag will showup a bit differently.

    "We will also auto-format the gamertag to show the suffix subtly in a different font so focus will be on the name you chose but the suffix will always be shown."

    So the suffix will still show, but it will be shown in a different font so it does not take away much attention from the actual Gamertag.

    The gamertag update has not been released on the console yet. Once that is released there it should look more like it does on Discord. There hasn't been an official date for that to be released. They've just stated late this year.

    That's a strange one....if I search for the username you want, then it shows without a suffix of numbers. Yet, if I search for usernames I know are in use, then it always adds a suffix

    So, with the example I gave in my original post, games that don't support the new system, i won't have a suffix? And on games that do support it, I will have a suffix with a number sign, but the suffix could either be the same size and color, or smaller and gray?
