    Hello!
    Today I had a bit of a problem. I was trying to sign in to my account after I recently enabled 2FA. Since I didn't have my phone, I had to use an app-specific password. The password had letters, but the text box where I had to input the text showed up with a number-only keypad instead of a normal keyboard. Gladly, I was able do sign in, but I plan on enabling 2FA for other accounts I have that most likely do NOT have a recovery email or phone number. In fact, I was trying to enable 2FA and got locked out of an account because there was no email and there was no way to type in the app-specific password. Is there a fix to this?

    We understand that you are looking for a way to provide app password in using Xbox Console and wanted to have letters enable or available on on-screen keyboard. Let us check on this together so you will get back to gaming.

    I would agree that there should be a way for you to type in letters in times you will be asked to verify your identity on Xbox Console. However, this might depend on the security information set up to the account. Should you like to have this feature available. We highly suggest for you to send a feedback to Team Xbox and please include a screenshot showing the on-screen keyboard and message that you can enter your generated app password.     The keyboard shows up automatically when you select the address bar to type in the web address or selecting a search bar like bing or google, or any other box that wants you to type in it. If the keyboard does not show up, you could try connecting a keyboard
    to the Xbox and use that instead.

    Normally when you press A, it should open an on-screen keyboard on which you can select letters, numbers and signs by using using the left stick.

    If it didn't open for you, try restarting your console and then try again.

    I do not agree with number 2

    Yes bring back the keypad like the 360 had for the xbox one, but no to using of regular USB keyboards and mice.

    It would give an unfair advantage in MP games.

    I also have a harmony one remote and I've been having the same problem. I would like to use the number keypad to go directly to a channel instead of having to skip multiple channels. Is there anyway of updating my harmony one remote to get it to work
    with the Xbox One guide and the Harmony One number keypad. Thanks for any help.
