Notifications Slow to Pop Up

Hi,

Over the past 48 hours, whenever a friend invites me to a party or a game clip is recorded or an achievement is unlocked, it takes 10X longer than it usually does for the notification to pop up. I`ve checked my internet and there is nothing wrong with it.
I know I shouldn`t be bothered with it, but is kind of annoying.

To set it straight:

I`m not talking about the achievements registering slowly like on the Playstation 3, I`m talking about them registering quickly but the notification taking a long time to come.

Xbox Beacons are annoying and should have a feature to disable notifications.

You can turn notifications off completely and that should keep beacons from popping up. Then just pop open the guide after an online match or during a slow period to check for messages or who is online. They need to fix part of notification options as well
since it blocks achievements notifications from popping up.

could just be slow service on microsofts part with the cloud and such, there are a long list of reasons why this could happen but as long as they work and register its hard to say. have you hard rebooted your xbox by holding the power down for 10 seconds?

 

I'm having the same problem. As long as it's working (eventually), I'm not worrying about it. They will get all these issues and by later this year this console will be the best ever.

BwA Splatmat`s solution worked for me. Holding the power button for 10 seconds worked for me and now my achievements pop at regular speed!

 

I have the same issue gunna give the 10 second hold a try

 

Perform a soft reset, hold down power button for 8-10 seconds. Turn on after waiting 30 seconds.
