Noticed Xbox Partes default to game chat occasionally

I've been using that approach for the past couple of days and it seems to mostly work. The only odd thing I've noticed is that in some games I see the in-game mic notification going on and off occasionally as-if I'm talking in game chat even though I am
only in party chat on the xbox app. Makes me paranoid and thinking that the mic output is going to both party chat and game chat at the same time (which is definitely not my intentions).

Thanks. I get it now. I think as you progress in the game it gets worse though because it didn't bother me when it was just occasionally, now it's even happening to default cars. Love the game, but how could they screw up the auto part? It's right there

I am having the same issue. When I occasionally turn my Xbox One of to let it get some rest my audio resets to the default 5.1. Only reason I noticed was because how drastically different 5.1 sounds vs. DTS 7.1.

I’ve been having the same problem and it’s on games I’ve had for a long time. I’ve noticed the problem on R6, a multiplayer game that I’ve always had working game chat on, and it doesn’t work on DayZ which also has had normal game chat before the problem.
I can hear game chat occasionally, but I’m not able to talk back. I’ve updated my controllers and I can talk fine in party chat. Thanks to anyone that can help me with my strange problem!

unfortunately I have the same problem

this has been happening to me for the past hour. it was working fine about 4 hours ago (last time i was on) but now i cant even see my friends or invite them to a game. (specifically minecraft)
