nothing comes up on microsoft about a broken xbox one controller joystick

as a loyal customer of xbox for since 2008 years recently broke my xbox one left joystick just by running around in games i dont know how but my left joystick wont allow me to run, i can walk fine and the rest of the controller works fine. i went to gamestop
a week back and i asked them about the issue and if they can fix it all they said is that "the only way we can fix it, is by sending it off to Microsoft themselves but you will have to pay shipping" i am not willing to pay for shipping just for a broken joystick
that can be repaired but what i dont want to happen is that the cost of fixing my controller goes up because they have replace my controller when it doesnt need to be replaced.

so if anybody can help me out or give me advice on how to fix the joystick.

It sounds as if there is a dead spot in your joystick contact you probably will have to replace the whole stick. Might be easier to buy a new controller

OP sorry to hear you're having trouble with your controller. All Xbox peripheral devices such as an Xbox controller have a 90 day warranty from the date of purchase. If your controller falls within this time frame you may only need to pay a small amount
to help cover shipping of the controller. You can set up a repair at https://devicesupport.microsoft.com

If the controller is outside of that warranty period then you may be better off buying a new one to replace it.

You can buy new analogue sticks, i have ordered one and as soon as it arrives i will post about my progress, here is the link for the stick if any one fancies joining in

The grips come apart from the controller, the bumpers break easily, the wiggle in the joysticks.... these "elite" controllers are budget built pieces of ****. Typical microsoft. build something nice out of cheap components and then OOPS YOUR WARRANTY IS UP
