Not saving, no autosave, stuck at title screen.

Ok folks, just wanted to report in that these are still some prominent issues even after the multiples patches that have come out. I know 1.07 is coming soon (via the official twitter for these people) but as far as the hiccups go, this one is still nasty.

Third time this week I've had to clear the cache via hard resetting the console. First time since the initial bugs that I've had to do this. Was completing the search for the final two pieces of Wolf school gear and noticed that it wouldn't save. I've become
pretty good at saving manually after doing anything in the game, it's just annoying to have to keep fighting these bugs. I've reported this to CD multiple times w/ no response. Don't get me wrong, I love the game...when it's working. Just wanted to know from
my fellow gamers if there were any other methods out there I might have missed that you have maybe had success with? Thanks for the read and the help in advance. Here's looking towards the next patch...

Save game won't load after Update #5

I just had the infinite loading screen after saving, quitting, downloading Lonesome Road and the Gunrunners + Couriers Stash DLC and then trying to load up my latest save again. What worked for me was loading up the Autosave instead, no loading problems
at all when I did.

Stuck at title/loading screen

Rebooting the console for the third time fixed the problem for me.

Hi Herpin,

one thing that pops up consistently as a possible source of the save issue is leaving it running in the background when you finish a gaming session. Instant on and being able to jump immediately back into your game is great but not if it breaks saves!

My advise is when you finish playing - always save then exit to main menu in game, then jump back to dashboard and do menu>quit game to stop it running.

Me too, a lot of loading screen lockups. Happens on PC also. Save before traveling. Ive noticed sometimes the autosave does this afterwards , and it gets the the way of accomplishments as well. Could this be an autosave bug?

I got stuck on that part because the autosave saved me with zero ammo so everytime I load thats where I start.I hate autosaves.I guess devs think ppl are not intelligent enough to save their own games anymore

These steps can help you, give it a try.

Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.

1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this for the game too.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner>downloads updates>get updates and update everything.

5. Press the Windows Button then type Services.

Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.

Then select Run as Administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper

Xbox Live Auth Manager,

Xbox Live Game Save,

Xbox Live Networking Service,

Gaming Services.

Do this with each of the services listed above.

Right-click over the service and select Properties.

Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.

If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

Click Apply and OK to save changes.

6. Restart your PC, log in to both apps and try again.

Try turning off autosaves, especially the "Save on travel" option. Most of my freezes (6-8 in the first 80 hours of gameplay) were occurring during or right after a loading screen when I only had the "Save on travel" autosave option enabled. I turned
off all autosaves, had no problems, so then I switched to "Save on character menu" every 15 minutes and haven't had a single freeze in the last 70 hours of gameplay.

Also, I do have the game installed to the hard drive.

Not saving, no autosave, stuck at title screen.
