    Not Satisfied with Xbox Customer Service


    A quick synopsis, my nephew plays fortnite on his xbox and asks me to get the new Season 9 pass for him. As a good uncle that I am, I have him login to his xbox account and add my card on his xbox and then I proceed to purchase v-bucks for him at the cost
    of $9.99. Boom, okay now my nephew has the new season pass for fortnite. THEN, as i always do, I go and remove my card entirely off of his xbox so that he doesn't think or accidentally charge it. May 17, 2019 I check my bank account and noticed I'm charged
    twice at $9.99. Mind you, this isn't my first rodeo of doing this for my nephew as I've done this in the past for him. Moving forward I contact xbox support and I get all the information that the representative requests of me pertaining to my nephews account
    in order to proceed. Once provided the information to the rep, the rep advises me that he does see a charge on my debit card for $9.99 twice and also advises me that it was a "GLITCH" on their end. The rep then said that my brother in law (owner of my nephews
    xbox account) would have to go online and submit a claim/refund for the $9.99 that I was charged by the "GLITCH" on Microsoft end. No, absolutely not, an unacceptable answer to go about solving this. I asked for his supervisor be put on the line to speak with.
    Spoke to supervisor on duty and supervisor advised me they stopped handling refunds for about a year now and do not have the ability to do that anymore and would have to go online to submit a claim. Mind you, they also see where I had removed my debit card
    off of his xbox account as well, but of course, no time stamp on when. Now, let's take this into consideration, my brother in law who is in the military and a part of special operations warfare, not that that matters, has to take the time out of his busy schedule,
    to go online and submit a refund for $9.99 that xbox accidentally charged me that they are responsible for doing. Tell me, what sense does that make? Of course my brother in law isn't going to submit the refund because he has bigger issues to tend to then
    to submit a refund for $9.99. So there you have it folks, Microsoft just made $10 off of me for free. Looks like from here on out I'll just go to gamestop and preload Microsoft points to avoid this entirely next time.

    Actually the issue seems more caused by your behavior than that of xbox service. In the Code of Conduct is clearly stated to not share personal data with other accounts, specially a child account you are not affiliated with. Only the parental account can
    file requests in the case of a child account billing issues. I suggest you to solve this issue with your family since they are involved.

    Next time make use of the xbox gift feature to make present to your nephew.

    Thanks, it probably won't get filled out seeing how I can't do it myself because it's not MY XBOX ACCOUNT as I stated earlier in the explanation, otherwise don't you think I would've processed the request by now? Anyways, this is a lost cause. Microsoft
    made $10 off of me for free, end of story. Life moves on. (insert shrug emojii)

    For a refund you will have to fill out the form located at the following link.
    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/forms/request-refund That is the proper approach for requesting a refund. There is noting anyone in the forums can
    do to change that policy. If it is important to get the refund then filling out the request should be a priority.
