Purchased black ops 1 360 disc and I have Xbox one it's compatible for this and I've tried to play online and it says I need Xbox gold even though I have 2 months left

my Xbox keeps telling me that I was last seen on the Xbox app three hours ago even though I am online right now and it will not let me join parties or invite people to them

I bought gold but nothing is happening

Well to start off I had bought a 3 months gold and for some reason it's still not letting me play online games. It even says I had purchased the 3 month gold but still nothing I still can't play online please help. Is there a reason why it's not giving
me the gold?

Unfortunately all backwards compatible games are experiencing issues with the online portion of the game and this has been ongoing for quite some time now.

When I say online multiplayer I can play with other people online In games such as fortnite. But I can also play the gold games that are included as well even tho I'm sharing someone's gold live.

Me too I renewed it 2 months ago and it will not let me play online and I even put in a Xbox live trial code and said ' you already have an Xbox live gold membership' and still would not let me play online???

The backward compatible game issue has been affecting more users, there is no official confirmation about what is causing it.

Some players successfully fixed the issue by changing the Port Selection on the connection settings, from automatic to manual.

Go to Profile and System > Settings > General > Network Settings > Advanced Settings> Alternate Port Selection > Manual > Choose any from the Menu starting with a 4 or 5 (Example: 49215 or 57165).
