Not getting reward credits for pre-orders and purchases

Last Thursday I got a promotional email from y'all offering 15,000 credits to my xbox live rewards if I pre-ordered Watchdogs 2. I did this yesterday and don't see it reflected on the rewards site I've had this happen in the past, pretty much every game
I've bought in the last two years has been through the store but I'm not getting credit!

I haven't paid as close attention as I should because frankly, I find this all confusing, especially as it works with ordering things through the store directly from my xbox. But for this one I followed the link in the email and believe I did everything
correctly.

I'm pretty bummed

Pre-order Bonus Confusion

I have been told that pre-order bonus do not count as rewards credits. SO if I purchase 2 pre-orders out of 3 in a b onus period, I get no rewards ds credit for that, ever. That doesn't make sense. That penalizes someone who pre-orders games. Please
explain.

Hello Azn Mans,

Only Xbox Live Rewards members are eligible for Xbox Live Rewards. Since you are not a member, you are not eligible for any Xbox Live Rewards. On top of that, this purchase would not have awarded any Credits since the only offer that awards Credits for pre-orders
is the Games on Demand offer, which requires three eligible pre-orders to complete.

There are 2 different offers to receive 15,000 credits, so it depends on which one you're looking for.

If you preordered the game as a physical disc from microsoftstore.com, the credits will show as pending about 10-15 business days after the game ships.

If you preordered digitally, you should see a punch added to your Games on Demand punchcard after about 96 hours. You will need to complete that offer in order to receive the credits.

Hello MzAdventure,

That offer is only for physical (disc) purchases off of MicrosoftStore.com (the link in the email will also take you to that storefront). Since your purchase was made digitally off the Xbox store, it was not eligible for this offer. As Smwutches says, since
your purchase was digitally, it would have qualified for the Games on Demand offer, and will appear after the 96 hour processing time as a punch for that punchcard.

Purchases from the MicrosoftStore.com are not eligible for MyVIP. The only way to currently get Rewards for those purchases is from our MicrosoftStore.com pre-order offer. That offer awards pre-order purchases with Credits which appear as pending 15 days
after the shipment date.

Rewards Credits for pre-ordering or ordering the game will appear as pending in your account within 96 hours of the offer end date.

Since the offer is not yet over, it is too early to see your Credits.

You received the rewards credits because you are a rewards member. While the promotion is running, you will receive those credits instead of the gift card. You can only use the credits to make purchases from the Xbox Live store (digital purchases)

The offer is only valid on up to 3 pre-orders. So if you've pre-ordered anything else, you will most likely get the credits again. The only way to ensure you won't receive the credits, is to make the purchase using an email address that is not attached to
your Rewards account.
