Not getting points credited to my XBL account

I have been a member of XBOX live for over 6 years. No points from purchases or renewing my XBL Gold account have been credited to my account.

I checked my account and for some reason the VIP part was unlinked (despite being linked before)

There has definitely been a time when my account was linked as i accrued some before. The email i received recently said:

Your Lifetime Earnings: 12,800 Rewards Credits

I bought black ops 3 the other week (october) for 55 quid and NOTHING was deposited for october at all.

PLease can you advise how my PAST purchases can be retrospectively added to my account and my VIP status adjusted to what it SHOULD be given my previous purchases.

It should be a straightforward affair for you to verify my previous purchases and see i received no points for them.

Missing microsoft points

I purchased 4000 microsoft points but they have not been credited to my account, how do I get these points credited to my account and when can I get them?

EDIT: I understand that renewing no longer gets points however i have made purchases in the past which were never credited. Please can you investigated. Otherwise whats the point of buying direct from yourselves in lieu of getting it tons cheaper in physical
form 2nd hand.

Hello Wytchfinder,

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at
https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

-or-

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as MyVIP payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

In September 2014 we changed to the MyVIP policy. As a result, payback based off Gamerscore (MyAchievements) was discontinued. Also, as mentioned in our pinned announcement at the top of the forums titled "HEY
YOU! We've got your answer here." (https://forums.xbox.com/en-US/thread/2f5ffacb-bf1e-4fca-8764-f57f69556e55), we no longer award Credits for Xbox Live Gold renewals
as of July 2014.

MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December
2016. Since you are a zero star member, you do not get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).

Agreed, as the other poster said. You can't pay with an account balance because you could have had this credit deposited into your account through several methods, such as Rewards points being cashed in for XBL credit. You must pay for subscriptions with
your own money, not through methods like getting a deposit from the Rewards program, just for an example, so this is why you can't use account credit to pay for it. It must be done with a credit or debit card.

Thank you, I'll try that, but what did you mean about getting my time back that I paid for? Like I said, I've only used my credit card to buy MS points, not for my XBL Gold subscription.

I had a similar issue, I was getting close to my renewal date and my g/f was also interested in getting gold so instead of buying two years of XBL gold for around $120 i bought the family pack which ended up costing me $54 after the credit from the timei
still had left on gold. So I had two extra years of gold left as my 5 year old daughter has no need for XBL at her age so I offered it to a friend and he took it. Problem is now he can't buy MS points, and needed my permission on a few occasions. He said it's
not a big deal as he's getting a year of XBL for free and was considering just buying a points card. So I have a question......Is it possible for him to buy the points card and add it to his account or will he be blocked at that turn as well?
