    Hey, I'm vip rank 4 and a xbox live gold member but the last 2 months I've only got 4% rewards points when I'm supposed to be getting 8%. Also I've been stuck at 83% of the way to vip rank five and I've bought a few games since I've hit 83% and it hasn't
    moved. I've had the issue before where it was only giving me 4% and not showing my xbox live gold and they fixed it. I have a reference number from talking to customer support its Reference number : 1366425748. But ya its not giving me the right amount of
    points and it also has me stuck at 83% and hasn't moved.

    Ok. So here I am in this stupid forum again cause the rewards stuff messed up. I came on to check if my rewards points for last month were posted and they werent but I then notice that my vip rank had been knocked down to vip rank 4 %0 when I Was almost
    vip rank 5. I spoke to customer support the reference number is 1369280985. I had posted 22 days ago that my vip rank was showing vip rank 4 83% and wasnt moving. Not getting my full rewards amount and been stuck at 83% of the way to vip rank
    is the link to that post i posted it about 22 days ago. I think instead of moving me to vip rank 5 like it should of it actually reset me to vip rank 4 0%. Also I tried responding back to the person 22 days ago that replied to my post then and they just ignored
    me. I'm pretty sure I'm missing rewards points it seems like this program is just a scam to get people to buy more. My vip rank getting knocked down kind of makes me believe this . I try talking to you guys on twitter .. I get no response. I post here I get
    a general response then my thread gets locked . I try to reply to the person that replied to my thread and get completely ignored. Please figure out what is wrong with my account both the vip rank and if its actually giving me the 8% rewards for being that
    rank. The post shows i was almost rank 5 so why is it reset back to vip rank 4 0%.. You'd do realize how much money I've had to spend to get to that rank?....Anyways please dont lock my theard this time till i have a chance to reply back to you.

    Hello,

    I'm asking for help with regards to my xbox live rewards. I have made a large amount of purchases in the last six months on the microsoft store, but my vip star rank has hardly been affected by it. It seems to be moving up at an alarmingly small rate.
    I should be at another rank by now with the amount of purchases I've made. I also seem to not be getting as much credits as I should. I really enjoy the xbox live rewards program and I have been using it for quite some time now. Although, it seems to not have been
    updating my progress correctly for a long time. I ask that you please help me with this matter.

    The Credit events in your MyStatement may say 4, but you have been rewarded at a gold rank since our adjustment of your subscription in your last post at (https://forums.xbox.com/en-US/thread/F614B035-B0AE-45AE-A07E-53B399A814C5).
    You can see this since the currently pending event in your account is listed as "MyVIP Star Rank 4
    (Gold)".

    We have reviewed your purchases and can confirm your MyVIP progress is accurate. Please note that as stated in our FAQ:

    What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

    Most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items.
    However, the purchase or redemption of pre-order games, in-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, do not qualify.

    So your pre-orders in October and Early November were not eligible for MyVIP and did not award progress.

    For help with the Rewards program, it's best to post in the Xbox Rewards Questions support forum. VIP ranks reset each year on January 1. So you most likely lost a couple of levels due to the reset. You have to spend the same amount or more each year in
    order to maintain your levels.

    You'll want to post in the Xbox Rewards Questions support forum in order for support to check into your account.

    VIP ranks reset each year. On September 1, 2015, they also changed the amount needed for each level so a lot of people were moved to lower levels.

    I just checked, I have not found anything about it resetting periodically, even if it did I would be rank 4 at least..
    It's always reset periodically, in fact that's why there's a pinned post about them not resetting it this last year as that was an oddity.

    Also not to sound like a jerk, but you haven't verified that you know what each level entails, and I'm not certain that you do as the information about how the ranking works and resets is in the same part of the FAQ.

    I would recommend reading through that and verifying your purchase amounts on
    https://commerce.microsoft.com
    and if it's adding up to more than what you've been given credit for then definitely contact them.

    However as Smwutches also mentioned you need to also make sure you're only counting the purchases that the program counts as eligible.
