Not earning achievements for a game on PC but I can on Console

I have game pass ultimate and usually I just play on my console but I have been recently downloaded a game on my PC and I downloaded because it was free with game pass and after playing a while I got no achievements for the game and curiously I downloaded the game on my console and within minutes of playing I started earning achievements that I would've already had if the game had counted what I had done on my PC. My question is do only games on the console let you earn achievements? Why should I bother playing on my PC if I cannot even earn achievements.

Some PC games on Game Pass do not give achievements. If you can tell us the game, then we can say whether the game supports achievements on PC.

There is a separate achievement stack for each version of the game. So even though you've earned achievements playing on the PC, you haven't earned them for the console version.

Yes. Since all achievement points are linked to your Xbox account as Gamerscore, you can earn achievements in all Game Pass games you play on PC or other consoles. If the Xbox one game is in the library of Play Anywhere titles you can earn achievements on the PC, just digital copies.

360 games can only get achievements on either a 360 or a one, if it is part of the backward compatible library.
