    Not being able to convert Xbox ultimate back to Xbox live gold


    I have recently bought 12 months of Xbox live gold on CD keys, when this was put on my Xbox it was converted to 4 months of Xbox Ultimate which I did not know would happen. They are now refusing to convert it back, has anyone got round this, if so how?

    Once it's been converted, there is no way to revert it back. You'll need to either cancel your Ultimate subscription or make sure auto-renewal is turned off and let the subscription completely end before adding a new Gold subscription so you can go back to just regular Gold.

    In short, once you have converted to Game Pass Ultimate, your Xbox Live Gold will be converted to Game Pass Ultimate. If you cancel, you will lose that converted Xbox Live Gold.

    Once you activated the Game Pass Ultimate your Xbox Live Gold was converted to Game Pass Ultimate time. If you cancelled Game Pass Ultimate, then you lose your Xbox Live Gold that was converted.

    As above, you exisiting Live Gold gets converted to Ultimate and cannot then be changed back. It means you get the added benefits of GPU (games and whatnot) for the same price as Live Gold as GPU contains LG.

    From the GPU page:

    "Joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and/or EA Play (purchased through Xbox) memberships."

    So, if you had 12 months of Gold, then you should now have 12 months of Ultimate. It cannot then be downgraded back to Live Gold:

    "Once converted, you cannot re-convert your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership back to a previous membership"

    With the Offer £1 offer it converts all of your Gold to Ultimate. In the FAQ is stats that you can convert up to 36 Months to Xbox Live Gold Ultimate
