Not allowing me to message??

I am currently trying to use Xbox Console Companion. Whenever i try to send a message to someone it says 'check your account. Messaging is not working for your account'. It also gives me a link to xbox support, which tells me to give my phone number and
it will send me a code, i do this, and it still doesn't work. The only way i can message is if i join a party with the person i am trying to message, and message through party chat.

Why can't i message?

Your account must have some messaging restrictions. Make sure it's a child's account with privacy restrictions.

Hi, have you tried signing out of you account and then back in? Also clearing the data? Might be a sync issue.

The enforcement team don't use the forums.

It's possible your suspension has been extended to 100 day suspension which is why it doesn't show on the enforcement site.

You can contact support
here & they should be able to tell you if your suspension has been extended but will not be able to do anything about it.

Remember you are responsible for your account & everything that happens on it.
