Not able to make a gamertag at all

I am unable to make a gamertag at all for my niece. I have tried yesterday and now today in case that there was a problem with the gamertag servers. I am unable to get the gamertag to go through. It shows that it’s available and I press the let’s go button but it does nothing. I even made a new Microsoft account and it did the same thing. So how would I fix this as my niece is unable to play Minecraft and now it’s just been a waste of money to buy the game.

Thank you for the update and I apologize for the trouble. As mentioned earlier, there are multiple reports in regard to the issue, even on Xbox consoles.

In this case, we may just need to wait for Microsoft/Xbox to deploy a fix for the issue.

Just a friendly reminder though that there are multiple reports in regards to the same issue, however, there are no official announcement yet from Microsoft which means that we just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

So I have tried it on all the devices and browsers that I have. I tried to do it off my phone on the Xbox app, then the safari browser, and then chrome. Then I tried my laptop through the Minecraft launcher, the normal web page, and then chrome. I then tried all of that off my desktop one. The only thing that I have not tried is off an actual Xbox as I do not own one.

If you suspect that a user is stealing or selling gamertags. Make sure to report the user and the gamertags involved if you're able.
