    Not able to download live profile to new Xbox 360A


    Hi,

    I've added a new xbox subscription to a Microsoft account i've previously created on my PC. I can't download the new profile on either my new xbox 360 or an older 360 I also have access to. The error I see is.

    801540A9 Xbox profiles can't be downloaded right now.

    The new profile has never existed on either console so I wouldn't expect to see any caching issues. But to be sure I have cleared the storage cache on both systems.

    Not sure what to try next.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Not able to download profile or connect to Xbox live

    So I call Xbox customer service today to inquire about a refund of live time due to the issues on June 14 and 15. I get told there is no refunds being made because was only a couple of days had it been longer they would have..... I am an ambassador for
    Activision and had a special tournament just for us ambassadors with prizes but Xbox live cost me the opportunity to play in it because of this issue. I believe it's B's we have to pay for the service but when they mess up they can't even issue one month
    Live tokens or even give you back the days missed. Please stand with me against this bs and show Xbox we care about being ripped off

    Good news, I was able to download my profile. However, the saved games from my old profile did not transfer as the post supposed. I am not able to copy or move files from the old games. Does anyone know what I can do to get the games from the Unknown Profile to appear on my downloaded profile? Both have been connected to Xbox Live.

    Hi,

    So you have created his account online thats great. All you need do now is download the profile to your console. Now the profile you are currently trying to upgrade to Live would need a new email if you were to connect it but you've already created a new
    child account on Xbox.com so Go to download profile if its an xbox 360 or if it is Xbox One go to Add new and put in his email and pasword and the profile will download to the console.

    Now this new one from the website will be new and seperate from the one on the console and you will not be able to merge them. But after you download the website on you'll have a safe Child account managed by and adult for your son and thats really important
    for a child when on xbox live.

    Hi there,

    does your son already have an 'offline' account on the console? Or is it a completely new xbox live account for your son, which you want to 'place' on the console?

    If it is the second situation please follow the steps on this link:
    support.xbox.com/.../download-your-xbox-live-profile-to-another-360-console

    If it is the 1st then you won't be able to merge that new xbox live account and that offline account, the only thing you can do is to 'promote' that offline account to an xbox live account via the steps here (it requires a new MS account):

    If the profile that you deleted from your console is the one that you are posting from, you can indeed get it back. However, you will need to connect to Xbox LIVE long enough to download it. The only other option would be to download your profile to another
    console and then transfer it with a USB drive. As for the game save, you can copy it or move it using another profile, making it owned by that profile. But, while you'll be able to afcess it with the new profile, you will not be able to earn achievements with
    that save file any longer if you make a new profile the owner.
