Not able to achieve similar download speeds on Xbox compared to Desktop

I have 1000 Mbps service from Xfinity. I am currently using their XB6 gateway in bridge mode with a Netgear AC1750 Model:R6400 router. I have my desktop and my Xbox One X both plugged into the router. Have swapped cables back and forth between the two and
eliminated the possibility of the cable being the culprit.

I have been using xfinity's speed test with Nashville, TN as the host server for both tests. On my desktop I can consistently see Downloads/~900 Mbps and Uploads/35 Mbps, however when using Edge on the Xbox, also using wired connection and the exact same
test with the same server for the host, I will see consistent speeds no more than Download/175 Mbps. The upload speed is roughly the same for the Xbox or Desktop test most times.

This sounds like it may be an Edge browser issue on the console. Did you also use Edge on your Desktop?

I know that Xbox One can do at least 250 Mbps download as that is the speed tier of my cable ISP. It has even briefly gone higher than that at times (my ISP over provides the speed rating and limits it via policy settings IIRC).

This is an issue i have had for 2 years along with my brother and a friend, we all run on 200mb virginmedia internet pc/laptops register around 170mb constantly) but the consoles never register more than around 35mb and even that is not the correct speed
at which games download, I'm not saying the download speed is slow but its not even close to what it should be.

Nothing has ever resolved this issue for 2 years, I personally believe it is a microsoft server issue rather than any network hardware as we all run different equipment and have performed all of the troubleshooting steps aswell as the routers using uPnP
all consoles are hardwired aswell, Even tried 2 different modems and 2 different routers with identical results, It does seem to be a very common issue when browsing around the internet about this issue.

If you're using UPnP you shouldn't need to port forward. It sounds like you know what you're doing, but just to check - are the cables Cat 5e or above?

Yes, they are Cat 5e cables. I ensured they are all patch cables with no crossovers thrown in anywhere.
