None of the headsets I own work on my xbox one s anymore. Tried updating the controller and hard resting the xbox. Wiped it completely apart from games and apps. Nothing worked. When I plug it in I can hear static for a spilt second and then nothing. Can
someone please help?

Official Microsoft Stereo headset for Xbox One.....

I replied to this earlier, then got a message saying my comment was awaiting moderation...

If your headset worked with the 360 and uses a jack of size 2.5-3.5mm it will work with the stereo headset adapter. If, however, it used the 360's proprietary connector it will NOT be compatible.

My 360 games dont work on my console anymore

I have 5 Xbox 360 games. all of them are compatible with the Xbox One.

I have played all of my games but after I used Gold Live for the first time it wouldn`t work anymore.

Please help me.

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is a question with connecting a headset to the Xbox Console.

I recommend checking out the following articles:

Xbox One controller and headset compatibility

If the problem persists:

Try updating the first controller. If that fails, try
a different controller.

Try using a Headset Adapter for compatibility issues.

Try this out and let us know the results.

My headset works on the Xbox one just not on backwards compatible games plus my Headset is completely wireless so i can't even try any of that. I think it's the Astro A50's like ArminatorX said about the base station being a USB
microphone. I'm just going to have to get another headset to use on backwards Compatible games one that actually connects to the controller like Astro A40's or something similar.

You'll ideally want a headset that connects with a 3.5mm audio jack, that way you can simply plug it into your controller.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your Xbox One and your wireless headset. Can I ask if your headset was working with your Xbox One S before you connected to the Asus monitor or is this all a new setup? I am thinking there may be a compatibility issue
with the headset.

Brad mentioned reaching out to the manufacturer, you may want to ask them if the headset you have is compatible with the Xbox One S in wireless mode or if you can only use the headset in wired mode connected via the headphone jack on the controller.
