    Noisy USB line.

All right. So the problem started when I made the switch from a wireless controller to wired. (Yes, this is a Microsoft controller). There's a constant high-pitched whine that comes through when I use my headset. I only hear it when I hear myself. Such as,
when I record a voice message, for example. But everyone else hears it constantly, because the interference is enough that it passes through the noise gate. So, the little speaker icon always shows that I'm talking when I'm not.

Now, I can assure you that this has nothing to do with my headset. The problem persists when I mute my mic, and even when my mic isn't connected. (If it's just the 2.5mm cable dangling from the controller.) I've scoured the internets, and haven't found a whole
lot pertaining to this, but I have seen some say that it's just the noisy-*** USB line in the 360. I'm pretty much 100% certain this is the culprit. That it just picks up way too much digital & analog interference, and that, said interference only manifests
when you create a loop by way of using a wired controller. Another weird thing is that, sometimes (not always), this creates a digital "farting" sound in games. For example, when I reload in MW3. It's weird. Also, it's really only a problem in game chat. In
party chat, the noise gate is aggressive enough to filter out the interference when I'm not talking.

I was thinking about getting something like this. I really don't want to go back to a wireless controller. I feel like the input isn't quite as precise, besides, charging, and, reasons. I guess my question is, has anyone else had this problem? Could it just
be a faulty controller, or, is there another way to get around this? If Microsoft just made it so that you could adjust the digital noise gate, I wouldn't have this problem.

    :)

Connecting xbox one to 2 tv's in separate rooms

If I used a USB to cat extender could I use power line adapters.

So it would go wired controller into USB to cat adapter then cat cable into power line adapter,
Then downstairs another power line adapter with cat 5 coming from it plugged into USB to cat adapter with USB cable into the xbox

I hope you know what I mean

The whine could very well be caused by local wireless interference, or even something as changing your battery brand for another. Sometimes consistent power draw is an issue, but that's unlikely.

The whine is very consistent. It never comes and goes, and I feel like it's more a product of the goings on inside the box. If I had to guess, I would think the fan might be the main cause.

Rereading your post, it could also very well be something known as "coil whine", and there's nothing you can do about it. It's just the way your controller is. If it's the controller and only the controller, then that's what it is. Controllers have no fans
inside, if your console isn't making any noises when the controller is not plugged in, I can just assume that it's coil whine. Besides, fans make a grinding sound rather than a high pitched whine when they're failing.

    Yes its ipv6 and ipv4
Even though you have changed ISP's, the actual physical cable to your house is still the same and may need investigating for a line fault. HR (high resistance) faults on copper lines feeding your premises may be the cause of your problem. HR faults are indicated
by crosstalk and/or noisy crackling can be heard when on the phone.

Ask your ISP to check the integrity of the line.
