No Xbox Gamebar Capture Folder

Hello, I'm trying (and failing) to setup Xbox Gamebar on my PC.

The help file said to move the captures folder to change the saving location, which I did, to D:\Captures. (Larger HDD)

However Windows now just keeps trying to save everything to C:\videos.

Opening the folder from settings just opens the videos folder.

When I open xbox Gamebar, none of my captures show up, unless i manually move them from C:\videos to D:\captures, which means it's a big faff to share anything while in game.

If I put the Captures folder back in C:\videos, it still doesn't use that folder.

any captures will be in the captures folder under video, you don't need to look for them in the gamebar

I feel so sorry to have bothered you for so few :{

Solution: simply delete the Captures folder itself once the GameBar is launched it recreates the folder and the "old captures" are replaced by the "real content" of the folder...

reinstalling gamebar will not restore the folder location, you need to run the bat file i linked to, this will restore the captures folder back to default.

Is this an externally attached drive? You might have to set the USB sleep time to 0 - i.e. the USB HDD never turns off.

Thanks, but no, it's a proper Sata HDD directly connected to the motherboard.
