No video after update

If your console is a digital version, try this way:

1. Turn off your Xbox completely by holding the power button for 10 seconds.

2. Press and hold the Sync button.

3. Press the power button, and keep holding the Sync button.

4. Keep holding the Sync button, until the troubleshooting menu appears.

5. Select the option "restore this xbox" and choose keep my games and apps.

If your console is not a digital version (Has the disc reader)

1. Turn off your Xbox completely by holding the power button for 10 seconds.

2. Press and hold the Sync and Eject buttons.

3. Press the power button, and keep holding the Sync and Eject buttons together.

4. Keep holding the Sync and Eject buttons, until the troubleshooting menu appears.

5. Select the option "restore this xbox" and choose keep my games and apps.

We are very sorry for the inconveniences you have had. If you have the issue of a black screen on your Xbox after the update, I recommend that you try to follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned below in order to see if your issue will be resolved.

The first step would be for you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 10-15 seconds plug all your cables back in and then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

To reset your console please hold down the pair and eject button both at the same time, while you are holding the buttons switch your console on. You should be able to hear two beeps coming from your console. After the second beep you should be able to see a troubleshoot screen. Let go of the eject and pair button and select to reset your console with keeping games and app.

Before following through with the steps makes sure that the console is switched off.

Contacted support via phone, since its out of warranty they want $119 to repair it even though it was working priot to applying the update. Sigh..

Nope, no red lights on the console or power brick (its a 360 slim). I did the sync/eject combo and nothing happened, console did not turn on at all while held down the sync button.

Are there any red lights showing on the console at all?
