    I got a Samsung CL27T55 curved monitor a few days ago, set it up pugged in my Xbox one x and all I got was, check signal cable no source signal. It only has one HDMI input on the monitor so I did all the usual fixes, check cables, clean ports, check cable plugs, system and setting etc.. still no luck when try start up, next try starting in low res mode and also in troubleshoot mode after ages of trying anything I could think of still no luck. So i get a DVD player plug it into monitors HDMI, works first time test the other HDMI cables I have been trying and they all work fine including the original one that came with my Xbox. next get a pc plug that in no problems again picture comes up. So now I am not sure what this can be, So grab my old monitor plug Xbox in it works straight away, then a tv again Xbox works fine first time on both, So next power cycle both Xbox and Samsung monitor, leave them both unplugged for 30min or so, plug in still the same check cable no source signal, no after trying again 100s of times different cables and system settings devices reset keeping games and apps, driver updates resetting and removing everything Samsung support i am still no source signal. I can remote play my Xbox with pc on the monitor but obviously that is not how i want to use my Xbox 90 percent of the time. Any ideas please any help would be great. thanks

    Hi AJ thanks for the reply I had already tried both ways you said to give a try but I gave it another try anyway and still no go, But a new HDMI had arrived that I had ordered so I thought it cant help giving it a go and still no luck, but I had also ordered a capture card as I seen somewhere that they can bypass certain problems like this so gave it a go and at last a picture, but now it wont let me change it from 480p, now I am not pc smart so this I think may be a setting in the capture card I am not sure, but it is a step forward and maybe this might give you a idea what the problem is and a way to fix it, Once again thank for the reply I appreciate it. thankyou

    Thank you for your reply.

    Even though your monitor was able to pick up a DVD player and a PC, this seems to be on your monitor's side of things. From what I see, your monitor is compatible with your console and you shouldn't need a capture card to get it to work.

    Have you already tried changing your monitor's settings? If I'm not mistaken, your monitor has a JOG button on the bottom of its screen. You can use this button to navigate the settings menu.

    I'm sorry to hear you've been having a hard time with your console.

    What is your console's display override set to? you can see this at Settings > General > TV & display options.

    If it's set to "Auto-detect":
    - Change it to HDMI.
    - Go back to the previous menu to choose a resolution and a refresh rate your new monitor would support.
    - Try your console with your new monitor.

    If it's set to "HDMI"
    - Change it to Auto-detect
    - Go back to the previous menu to choose a resolution your new monitor would support.
    - Try your console with your new monitor.

    Question about Connecting Xbox to PC monitor

    You should consult your monitor's user guide. Whatever the monitor would default to will be its source, Generally, I would say that whatever signal is received first will be used by the monitor. For me, if I have two sources turned on (DVI and VGA), the
    monitor will read whatever signal it received first. If I want the other signal, I manually change the input from the monitor's controls, or turn off the current source. Your monitors should have the ability to manually switch between inputs.

    5ghz is higher bandwidth and faster, but signal is weaker, so it depends how far you are from the source
