    No sound when I load on fortnite game but all other sounds work fine on my Xbox one


    My Xbox one has sound in other games and in every other area of the Xbox, but soon as I load Fortnite there is absolutely no sound at all. There is no game sound in lobby, the game, or any other area. I have checked
    the in game sound setting and set them to default still nothing. I am unsure what to do now. Has anyone had this issue or know how to fix this problem?

    **** I have just uninstalled the game and I am going to reinstall to see if that works.

    Update- After uninstalling and reinstalling there is still no sound. What I find odd is the sound works when the short clip played with the super hero's but then it went back to no audio when I was in lobby and everywhere
    else just as before.

    Hello Brad,

    Thanks for responding to my post. I use a mic that plugs into a headset and it is a turtle beach headset, Also the mic works perfectly fine for Fortnite, discord and other games its just the Xbox app. I have the speaker icon but when i right click on it
    all that comes up is / Open sound settings, Open volume mixer, Spatial sounds and troubleshoot sound problems.

    Fortnite - Microphone Won't Work

    We just purchased a HyperX Cloud Stinger Core headset for our XBox One, and the microphone will NOT work in the game Fortnite. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, what was the fix? It is only happening in Fortnite.
    The microphone works fine when plugged into my phone or in XBox Party mode. The sound works in Fortnite, but not the microphone.

    ok so i tried fortnite on cloud gaming and it worked fine and loaded fine i also hooked up my old original xbox one and it also worked fine and loaded fine, i don’t really want to think it’s a console issue cause it works just fine with any other game it’s just fortnite that’s causing this.
