No sound in games xbox one

    No sound in games xbox one


    I got a second hand series s in preparation for Christmas so the kids would have their own and stop using mine lol

    All seemed well when I booted it up the start sound worked all of the audio in the menus work the same with game trailers on the shop.

    When I go to try a game there is no sound what so ever if you hit the xbox button and open the menu to your left you can hear the menu noise when going up and down.

    As if that isn't confusing enough I figured wth let's see what a 360 game does so I fire up LFD2 and would you **** know it the sound works fine.

    Has this happened to anyone else? I've already tried different TVs and different hdmi cables

    Sorry to hear about the sound issue! Are you only experiencing this issue with Far Cry 4? Let's start by power cycling your Xbox One console to clear the system cache:

    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the unit is fully powered off.
    • Unplug the power supply from the back of the Xbox One console and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Plug the power back in and power on.
    If that does not help, I would verify that the sound settings match up by following the steps on our

    Configure Xbox One Audio     page. Be sure to see if 'Stereo uncompressed' is checked in the 'Digital Audio' group. If it is not selected, select that and try to play the game.

    I get no sound at all in Titanfall. My Xbox One’s sound is still working, but the game is silent.

    Do you have a headset hooked up? Is it playing audio via the headset? You can try plugging a regular headset into most of the newer controllers, and see if it's outputting that way. I'd also verify your sound configuration settings,

    Thanks for the reply! I understand there is an issue with the Xbox one. I recommend trying a
    power cycle
    of the console and trying this article:
    Troubleshoot sound on your Xbox One console    .

    If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the console,
    Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try this out and let us know the results.
