No sound from Spotify,Deezer and Amazon music on Series X

not one of the music streaming apps will play any sound on my series x.. The console is connected by HDMI to a Dolby Atmos capable Vizio sound bar. I have no other sound problems with anything. I install high-end home audio systems for a living so I have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing when it comes to audio settings and electronics in general. Nothing I have done has fixed anything. I've reinstalled the apps multiple times. Restarted the console. Rebooted the sound bar rebooted the TV all multiple times. The problem must be with the apps because it says it's playing I can see the equalizer bars bouncing and the track counting away seconds but no music. And it's not just out of the sound bar. I plugged my headphones into the controller still no music. I have a creative GC7 amp that I run an optical cable to from the TV and no music out of that either. What I really don't understand is that no music will come out but The user interface will still make the clicking sounds as you click on different menus. Literally every other sound works completely fine at the same time as no music is coming out but according to the app it's playing music. I figured it was just Spotify but Amazon music and Deezer both do the same thing. How can the apps be showing that music is being played but yet no music will come out of any output configuration I try but at the same time every other sounds that the console puts out comes through just fine. The whole situation really makes no sense and I've been searching online and to my complete astonishment I haven't found a single instance of the same exact problem. To listen to music and play a game at the same time I have to either have just music played from a different source which means changing the input on the sound bar so then I have no game audio. I did figure out a way to get my creative GC7 hooked up so I can have game audio then pipe music into it from my phone. But doing That now limits me to only being able to use Dolby Digital or DTS surround which really sucks because I have a $1,000 Vizio elevate Sound System that has 11 drivers with 4 up firing drivers (2front 2 rear) So I legit have a full 360 sound stage for true Atmos/DTSX in my room that I can't take advantage of because my $600 state of the art gaming console can't even stream music properly. This is the biggest problem I've had so far but there has been a ton of small extremely annoying ones that I'm about done with. If gamepass wasn't such a good deal I would have throwing the Xbox out of the window by now.

We understand that you are trying to play music from your music apps on the Xbox Series X console with Dolby Atmos while playing a game and are having issues. We will try help you resolve this issue to get you back to gaming (and jamming).

You mentioned seeing the app playing, but there is no sound coming out. What speaker audio are you using when this happens? You can check by going to Settings > General > Volume & audio output.

Try clicking on Additional options and checking the box Allow pass through.

There’s currently Amazon Music, Deezer, MTV, Spotify, SoundCloud, and Vevo to stream music on Xbox One and Series X|S. There are also various radio apps like TuneIn and IHeartRadio.

When Apple Music was added to Xbox back in October, that decision would’ve had to be officially approved by Apple as they’re the developer and app owner/publisher.

I recommend you when you chat with xbox support tell them to give you code for another music streaming service like spotify and deezer

Hello,

It would be up to the developer/app owner (in this case, Google) to add YouTube music to Xbox, so you should ask them. Apple Music was added to Xbox back in October and Apple would’ve had to agree to that decision for their app to be available on the Microsoft Store.

There’s also SoundCloud, Deezer, and Amazon Music available on Xbox One and Series X|S.

Couldn't agree more, I hope they do release an app for the Xbox One because whether MS like it or not I'm not switching to Xbox Music, I just play Spotify through my iPad. Also the whole "pulling revenue away from Xbox Music " may not be such a valid argument
considering the presence of paid for music streaming service Deezer on Xbox 360 and it's imminent arrival on the Xbox One. I know that most of the time Spotify has shot down other platforms simply because they don't have plans to create the app.

Let's hope this attitude changes.
