No signal problem that I can't solve.

Let's try to reset the display settings and check if that sorts out the issue.

If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, press and hold the Xbox button  and the Pair button  instead, as your console doesn’t have an Eject button.

In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480).

The only thing that solved my problems was connecting the Xbox One directly to the modem. This game can't seem to run well on wireless. So now I don't have problems anymore. I did have a pretty weak signal since the modem was downstairs though.

Your WiFi signal may be getting interrupted by a phone signal or it is to close to an interference source. Are you able to hard wire your Xbox when it is downstairs? That might solve your problem. I understand it makes it harder to move it around the house
but see if it work in solving your problem.

The controller ran out of batteries.

But there wasn't any distinct signal tobremind me that i should replace the with new batteries.

I think I solved my problem... Apparently my turtle beach x31 wireless receiver was too close and disrupted the wireless signal. It has been moved and no longer causes any problems
