no power after the system update

    Hi Xbox,

I turned on my xbox 360s console and prompted for a system update. Progress bar of the update says full and rebooted the console by itself. It sits for about 5min thinking it will turn on by itself but nothing. There was no power on the console, power brick
is orange. I tried removing the hard drive and turned it on but still the same, no power no lights on the console, tried syncing my wireless controller but keeps on blinking since there was no console detected. I brought my console to a friends house to test
his power brick to my console but still the same, no power on the console.

I concluded that the update caused my hardware to breakdown.

    Please help.

    Thanks

    :)

Xbox One will not power on after initially working and my experience so far trying to contact Microsoft to fix it.

Im having the same issue with my kids system. It happened after the February update and again this morning after Im assuming it tried to get the March update. I hit the power button, it blinks and beeps, then nothing. I even left it completely unplugged
from everything overnight in hopes that would solve the issue. I also tried plugging it into a different HDMI cable/power brick/TV setup and still no luck. Back in February, it started working again after a few hours but no luck after this update. Will
probably have to try getting a hold of support this weekend. There is definitely something about downloading updates that this particular console doesnt like.

Power Issues after 10/23 System Update

    Hello,

This is totally unrelated to the update, the red light on your power supply means that you will need to get the power supply exchanged (if under warranty) or replaced (if not under warranty). You will need to visit this page
here to find out if a warranty is intact, if it is, you can request an exchange. If it's not under warranty you can simply replace it for a new one. The new power supplies cost $35 USD.

no power after the system update

I had the same problem today. Installed the system update after prompted and system will not power on since then. Tried disconnecting all power cords, etc., tried an alternate power cord, and system still won't power on. Orange light on power brick, no
lights on console, but hear a beep when touching the power button or eject button.

I believe the update corrupted our system.

    Any suggestions?

Unable to connect to Xbox Live

Ok - after posting this I managed to fix it myself.

I powered off the Xbox One

Pulled the power on it for 30 seconds.

    Powered it back on.

Now it mysteriously had a system update that it wanted to apply (400 MB worth) - after applying that update it was able to get back on Live.

Game Crash to Home Regardless of Game

This issue started happening after the recent update in February. I purchased my Xbox One on 2/10/14 and the system update wasn't a week later and that's when I noticed the issue. The reason why power cycling by pressing the power button on the console works
is because it clears the system cache as well as completely resets the system.

    after a system update

    Hello,

If you're having this issue and you're apart of the dashboard beta update program then you'd need to make a post in this forum
here. If you believe this to be caused by a dashboard update of any kind, please read Miss Ermine's post
here (second post), it has instructions on how to remove the latest update so you can see what's actually causing the problem. You won't be able
to connect to Xbox LIVE after you've removed the update as you will be prompted to download it again.

If you don't have access to that section of the forums just yet and you're seeing "GROUP NOT FOUND" then please be patient as a forum support agent will need to look into your participation in the beta, once they have confirmed
that they will add you to that section of the forums.

Please Note: You can only gain access to the beta forums if you have the "beta" channel on your Xbox 360 Dashboard. Only the person who ran the beta registration application will have access to the forums using their
gamertag. No other gamertags will be able to access the forums. Since beta registration is now closed, it's not possible to get another console into the beta so you'd need to wait until the beta is released to the public later this year to make any purchases,
or visit anyone's house you know of that also has this beta update to make purchases on their console for the time being.
