No option to buy content in Movies and TV

I have tried to purchase and watch a number of movies and/or TV episodes from the marketplace today on my Xbox One and it's not letting me do so. I can't even find a purchase option for the movie/TV episode. I can play trailers but I can't buy a movie
to watch. Is there a known issue that I'm unaware of? I am running the latest update that was released this week.

HDCP error on purchased movie, but not other apps

I can play Netfilx, I can play Blu-ray movies, I can play amazon, you name it, no issues. I have an LG TV a Sony Receiver and the XBox one all bought at the same time in 2015. All content has worked. Today, I decided to take advantage of the content in
the MS store, and bought a movie. I loaded the TV and Movie app, and it wont play giving me an HDCP error. I know that Netflix and BluRay use HDCP and they work. Something is up with the app. I would like to buy movies and watch them, so I need to know how
to fix this.

 

Rented movie won't play

Rented a movie on movies & tv that won't play. Tried all support options still no success. All owned movies play fine. And my time is counting down. Any ideas?

 

Hey Sara,

Sorry to hear about your issue. Though a far as I know, there should be no issues similar to yours at this time. What I could recommend to try is to remove your account from the console and re-add it back again which reloads your account details on the console.
After that, see if you will then be able to purchase Movies and TV shows through the xbox store.

I've tried re-adding my account. I've tried reinstalling the Movies & TV app. I've tried unplugging my Xbox and restarting everything. I can't purchase anything in the Movies section of the Store in the new update. I can see it for purchase in the Movies
& TV app...but every time I try to purchase it...it just reverts back to the "buy now in HD" message. Now download begins and I can't buy movies. So...for right now I'm stuck watching Netflix, HuluPlus or Amazon Prime. I suppose I should post this in the
preview section since I'm a member of the preview...but I can't find where to post in that specific group.

 

im having the same problem! its not letting me rent or buy movies. i select it and it says "renting" but then reverts back to "rent $5.99" all i want to do is watch movies :c

 

Same issue here so these people aren't alone and there actually is a problem on MS end.

 

Sorry for the inconvenience, this is a known issue and will provide an update once we enable buy/rent buttons for Movies & TV in the Store.
