No online play and Surround sound does not work

Just a heads up for those of you interested in RB4. It does NOT have online play. Not even sure when or if they will ever add online play.

I also noticed right away this game does not have surround sound and no option to toggle surround sound. It is also known on their forums the surround sound is not working.

Honestly boggles my mind. So if you are interested in this game.......wait or pass.

Record That

I am on the old dash. You are correct. The record feature seems to be disabled. RB4 is a straight up beta.

1. No online

2. No surround sound

3. Record function disabled

4. DLC not working properly

5. Double bass pedal does not work properly.

 

Xbox video store - no surround sound

All the movies list only English audio and no surround sound. I know they used to advertise surround sound. Does anyone know if the movies still have surround sound? even my purchased movies don't show surround sound. No DTS or Dolby

 

Those are a few things that are holding me back from buying it. I have 500 plus DLC songs that make me feel like I need to buy the game to get my money's worth. I have kids that I can play with but they don't like any of my DLC, so I play the same crap over
and over. I have a good friend on the East Coast that will get it too but no online play really makes this a tough buy. Also just realized my wired drum kit is useless now going forward and any drum set online is 100 plus bucks. Yuck.

I love Rock Band and fully support their products and everything they have done, but I'm still up in the air about getting this any time soon.

Just wanted to pop in my 2 cents.

 

They have stated that the update in Dec (8th) is going to have "New social and competitive features" whatever that means?

Also, Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak added: "We already have a team hard at work building new features for the platform, some based on player feedback, along with some surprises, including a new mode that changes gameplay in a really significant way that we think
people are going to love."

I honestly wasn't going to buy this game, because I primarily play online with friends on a regular (almost daily) basis, but I'm SO glad I did. It's a little steep in price, especially the Band in a Box set, but if you can just use the Wireless Adapter
and an old Gtar/Drum kit, you're set! Also the Legacy DLC carrying over is awesome! 1,400+ here.

Still need to figure out a way to get Pro Drums too work, sigh lol
