    Sorry but Xbox does not issue free gamertag changes unless your tag goes against the ToU (which it doesn't). In that case you would be given an automatic change which you may not like either.

    The only way to change the tag to something you want is to pay the $10 and create a new one.

    The only way to get your old gamertag back (if it's still available) is to pay to change your current one. I'm sorry, but that's the only way. If you think your account may have been hacked, you should contact Xbox Support at 1-800-4MYXBOX. Their UK number
