No one on Minecraft can see my messages. Shadow muted?

i chatted with microsoft they say it isn't them.

I have seen this issue before with 2 of my friends.

Just to be clear, I am playing on Windows 10, not on Xbox

I have contacted Mojang support, and all they said was that it was a problem with my xbox live account and to contact xbox about this issue

This is highly annoying. For a long time now absolutely no one, at least on Minecraft has been able to see my messages I put into chat. At first it seemed to have been only in the featured servers but now it seems to have moved into realms as well. I have
not been muted in any of the servers for any disciplinary reasons and the privacy settings on my account for communications have been set to everyone. A while ago I heard of something called shadow muting where your account gets muted and you are not informed
about it. I have not done anything that would be deserving of a muting. Although this may not be the actual reason why no one can see my messages it is still a possibility.

To be clear no one can see my messages in game. On my own single player worlds they can be seen and they also work within the app itself. But on servers and realms they cannot.
