No new updates, why were there no new updates?

The next update that will go out to everyone will be Fall 2013. There was a beta dashboard sign up on July 5th that closed. Everyone has the same updates as everyone else, they are needed in order for you to be able to sign into Xbox LIVE so if you're able
to login to LIVE then you have the update everyone else has.

Well, there is no way to download and use old updates, as long as you have logged into Xbox Live since August, 2 2013 you would have the latest update for those who opted into the Xbox Live Beta program. If you have logged on since February,19 2013 then
you would have the latest version of the operating system for Xbox Live members not in the Xbox Live Beta program. I don't claim to be an expert but I hoped this helped you. Keep gaming.

Upgrades in general were free, only a few were sold as different versions and it is believed that if there was a purchase of a new generation console it was to use the upgrades, that's why Microsoft suggests this way, updates are to update, upgrade to a new one experience, unfortunately there is no way not to notify this type of information.

Read what slaphead posted. The new update does nothing to your xbox.

Some xboxes were affected by an older update. That's all.
