No Network Settings or Multiplayer Option in No Man's Sky

I play on PC using the Xbox app and the game pass. I've gotten through the first missions and have reached the Anomaly. In the options menu, there is no Network choice. When pressing start on the menu screen, it takes me straight to choosing saved games in solo.

I'm playing on an adult account and already have game captures and creations both set to "Everyone" in my privacy settings.

My boyfriend has tried multiple times to invite me to his game or join mine, to no avail.

No other games are affected that I know of. I'm able to play Forza Horizon 5 on multiplayer with no issues whatsoever.

I haven't tried any other procedures besides a simple restart and trying different networks.

You would need to change the privacy settings of your Xbox profile. Since you’re using a child account (-18), you would need to ask a parent to create a family group (if there isn't one already), invite you to the group as a member and change your privacy settings for you.

Ask your parent to set all the settings related to multiplayer, parties, clubs and play with people outside of Xbox Live to "Allow" or "Everyone" on the "Privacy" and "Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & Windows 10 Online Security " tabs.
