No network connection if console already on and Ethernet connected

If the Ethernet cable is connected after the console is fully booted the settings show network connected but everything reports no connection and all network tests fail. Rebooting is only fix.

    Slow downloading

Please make sure your Xbox One console is connected using an Ethernet cable, not wireless. If it is already connected using Ethernet try changing the DNS used by the console (Settings > Network > Network Settings > Advanced > DNS > Manually).

Try 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 then restart the console. If this doesn't make it better please try 4.2.2.3, 4.2.2.4.

    HELP System Link

Are you connecting through a network switch [or the Ethernet ports on a router] or just connecting the consoles together with the Ethernet cable?

It appears your console is dropping its network connection. Are you connecting using wireless or ethernet cable?

My Xbox series s recently connected wirelessly, but now will not. Will only connect via Ethernet cable. Why?

The console will not connect to WiFi (wireless) if there is a ethernet cable plugged into the console. Disconnect the ethernet cable and restart the console. It should allow you to input the WiFi SSID and passcode to connect from the detected list in Network Settings.

Short Question, is it worth to use Network Cable Connection ?

The connection with an ethernet network cable ensures more stability than WiFi. It's recommended to connect the console with ethernet cable to avoid packet and signal loss.
If the router is near the console then you can connect it with a network cable, while if it's far you can use WiFi, but you have to check for any nearby devices that may cause interference.
