    No more Xbox currency from rewards?


    made my goal $10 but updated it to a $25 goal of microsoft dollars for xbox. Then all of a sudden i grt on today to it being gone? Ad tbey have starbucks gift cards and walmart giftcards of course incredibly overpriced compared to the xbox currency. Will
    it return? Why werent we told it was going away? I wouldve spent what i had, now its only 3rd party places, gold, or gamepass

    $6 Promotional Credit

    Currency can only be used from the console. When you attempt to purchase an item from the Xbox Marketplace it will ask for an alternate payment method first. This is just in case the amount you are paying is more than the amount you have in currency.

    Do not worry, currency is always taken first.

    Sorry for your trouble. Currency cards should not expire only the money that you receive from doing such things like Xbox Live Rewards or Bing Rewards will expire. Currency that your using from your own wallet shouldn't expire though.

    The 8,700 Credits are your lifetime Credit amount. It is also the amount you received as your deposit. Since these Credits were deposited, they were converted from Rewards Credits into currency and placed into your Microsoft Account to spend. From our FAQ:

    What are Rewards Credits and how can I use them?

    Rewards Credits are a way of keeping track of the funds you earn through Xbox Live Rewards. Once you accumulate 5,000 Credits or more, they will be converted into your country's local currency and deposited into your Microsoft account. Then, you can head
    over to the Xbox Store to purchase your favorite games, TV shows, movies, and much more!
