No Man's Sky Microsoft Store PC - when update releases why Xbox pc app re-download

That's the Xbox store. That's why it's giving the console version. You'd use the Microsoft Store app to download games for the PC.

Are you on a PC just you mentioned the .exe file which you won't see on an xbox. On the xbox go to the apps section of the store and download it then once open add your sky id and password and away you go. If your on PC you can either go through the Microsoft
store and follow the same steps as above or go to sky.com and download it directly.

Another update, while my IP won't be out here until Thursday, I had a PC update and now my Microsoft Store won't download apps there either. So it seems to be the Microsoft Store on both Xbox and PC.

Download xbox app on your pc from the microsoft store then on microsoft store click 3 dots "downloads and updates" and you should be able to do so.

Make sure simulator app is not running

Hey hey, Just wanted to let you know that I experimented a bit, having had the same issue, and I found that disabling Microsoft Store's automatic updates solved it for me.
The Xbox app kept crashing because the store kept downloading and installing a roughly 1MB update that never seemed to take hold, with the app refreshing itself every time.
This never stopped being an issue, I re-enabled automatic updates recently and the app went back to its erratic behaviour.

this issue was also localized to only one of the computers in the house. I tested a re-download on another pc and Xbox worked just fine, something worth noting is that on the computer in which the app worked fine, the initial download was around 65MB as opposed to 1.3MB like in the pc where it was bugging, there's definitely some weird problem with the store and certain PCs.
