No Man's Sky is stuck in the starting menu and I can't actually play the game

I just installed the game via Xbox Game Pass and for some reason when I start it, I get stuck on this screen telling me to click lmb
to start. Every time I click, I hear a sound, but nothing happens. I've tried restarting both game and PC, pressing other buttons, and running as admin. I'm running on a 3600 with 16g RAM and a 5700xt.

It also doesn't show a cursor for me, but that may be normal.

Anyone have any advice?

I'm having the exact same issue. I've restarted, and reinstalled. No change whatsoever. Can't find any log or config files anywhere to modify or read. All troubleshooting documentation on the No Man's Sky support site is for the Steam version.

On that note, I just bought the Steam version (Currently on sale for $30) and it's running just fine. Lost all my progress, though. But that's the price of stability, I guess.

ok i just found a fix thanks to a reddit user who replied to me, go to the microsoft store and update “game services”. should work as soon as it’s done.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I wrote that I have tried the solutions provided by the guide and nothing seemed to work. Other games I have on Xbox (beta) app seem to work fine. It's just No Man's Sky that seems to be stuck on the starting screen.

Haven´t Play No Man Sky yet, but I think it is a great Game. I am on Elite Dangerous and think to Change to No Man Sky
