    No Man's Sky crashing to desktop


    Hi,

    My friends and I just started playing NMS together. When playing multiplayer, our games seem to crash (exit to desktop) whenever we are close to each other. No error window is shown. One of us plays the Steam version, the two other the Xbox Game Pass version.
    This doesn't happen at all in a normal single player game.

    So far we've tried:

    • Setting TerrainTesselation to Low through graphic settings MXML-file.
    • Running in fullscreen, borderless and windowed
    • Switching between who hosts the serve

    Windows Reliability Monitor shows the exception code C0000005. No .dmp file can be found in Localhost/Local/Temp

    One more thing the planet that the Normandy crashed on and the planet in the old man scene has the same planets in the sky but differing terrain. It might be possible a new colony came out of the crash of the Normandy.

    I switched back to my PS5 and played a little No Man's Sky but then changed to Balders Gate 3, which incidentally, hasn't crashed once :)

    Thanks for your post. It seems you are having problems with your copy of No Man's Sky. To solve this problem, see this article: Troubleshoot game issues on Xbox. If the problem persists, you can try a Factory Reset while keeping your games and applications installed.

    Yeah i might have to delete all my saved data on cloud and xbox cause it seems corrupt, I can play on a new save without it freezing but whn i try on the original one it freezes everytime, theres no way to fix that wothout deleting right? Also every game
    work fine its just that specific save file T-T
