No Mans Sky Beta Save Did Not Carry Over to Released Game

Lesson learned, never spend more than an hour on a beta. I can see how it isnt fair for certain games but not this one specifically. I already have a high level account on the ps4 (Cross-play compatible) and I thought it would be a great time to convert
to the XBox version. I will stick to my ps4 version as 10 hours wasted has left me a bit salty.

No Mans Sky has been available on Xbox for some time already.

The recent beta is for testing the new update that will be released. Certain features will not be released until it works for the game, thus you will not be able to play on with your save until that feature has been released. If it gets released that is.

Developers will say before you start if you will be able to play on the beta save.

This is pretty standard with almost ALL Beta releases of games.

When you are playing a Beta version you are agreeing that it's not the final game, and in the terms it will almost certainly state that progress will not roll over to full release.

This is to create an even playing field for all on release day.

Note when you are playing a beta version of a game, the intent is you are playing to assist with bug reports and to help the final product be the best it can be, this is why you are provided the game early.

Basically every Preview and beta tested game doesn't allow to carry over of saved data as this would be unfair to other players who are just joining.

The point of the beta testers is to find any problems or bugs and report them so they are not there during official release.
